On November 27th , 2024 the Info Day of the EffecTrial Call “Fostering Pragmatic Comparative-Effectiveness Trials in Non-communicable Diseases” was very well received with around 150 attendees that joined this online informative session for future applicants. EffecTrial is the first Joint Transnational Call in Investigator-Initiated Clinical Studies launched by an EU Partnership co-funded in the public health area. 

Cristina Nieto from the Institute of Health Carlos III, ERA4Health coordinator, opened the Info Day with an introduction of the Partnership and the milestones achieved. General information, aims and scope of EffecTrial were explained by Astrid Valencia and Sara García-Rodríguez from the EffecTrial Joint Call Secretariat (Institute of Health Carlos III). Furthermore the consortium and eligibility rules, the funding mechanism, the evaluation criteria, the pre-proposal template and the submission tool were also explained.
The Principles of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) were presented by the ERA4Health RRI advisor, Rob Smith (University of Edinburgh).
